Yorkie Barred

You scratch my back,
I'll scratch yours
Backhanders
for slack hands,
not paid work
you understand
Favours for favours
indian landlord slave labourers,
but it's not about
race or caste,
or unlawful warfare
in times long passed
Exploitation
has a new face,
sanctions dictating
a different pace
Kids must be fed
on more
than just bread
So,
kick us
when we're down,
from being beaten
to the ground
Born,
we are,
and bred,
to be strong
in arm
and thick
in head
