scissoring,
tempo dictated,
metronomic,
mesmeric,
generic,
one stops
a coin drops,
mumbled well wishes,
hurry,
and scurry,
rushing,
and pushing,
bus queue billboards spill the news,
reflected in wet streets,
KFC meal buckets
line up in gutters,
rubbing shoulders with McD
who's burgers stuff gulls
to the gills,
emerging from bins
in parks,
litter scattered,
old ladies natter
about prices
of sex aid devices,
made cheaper in China,
wino's bicker
over left over liquor,
and I turn to look
at the face reflected
