Steel Yourself.

Machines
swelter,
as we run
for the shelter,
explosions raining
nuts and bolts,
it's not our fault
we didn't put oil in,
too busy toiling,
the overseers
are in tears,
the whips come out
in parliament,
pig snouted
to declaim
with a shout,
what we've become
on seats
 made shiny
with overfed bums
Sell it off
cos imports
are cheaper,
reaping the people,
chopped down
with sickles,
how fickle
they are,
how sick,
 and slick
the trick
was performed,
decks of cards,
blowhards
and diehards,
discarded
old trades,
traded,
wounds dressed
with rags,
the slags
 betrayed us,
so we waver
on the knife edge,
we quiver
shivering,
 not snivelling,
while costs
are met from
financial backing
for fracking.
